I made a chart.
Observations:
-From our second to least populous category, several new apps, including the rapid growth of our Dragon Age cast has propelled Video Games to the most populous category
-We have about the same number of total characters as this time last year but our activity itself is much higher
-We still have a higher proportion of book characters than 99% of all RPs.
-There was some overlap. Characters who fit in more than one category were counted for both.
I also calculated our number of obscure vs non-obscure characters. Admittedly this is an extremely arbitrary calculation, based on whether I see these characters being RPed.
