Name: Mirys Hargrave
Description: A blue-haired magical space elf that got boned something hardcore by Murphy's Law. She's just a little bitter over it.
Status: Still slightly thrown by the Christmas plot, but starting to recover. Also basically never letting go of an actual brick incident that was first mentioned in a tag on Ivan's first post.
Seeking: I'd like to see some people actually try to really push past her little jerk act. She's bound to have her self-made walls broken down at some point...
Pings: Elemental powers, including light- and darkness-based ones as well as healing, all of which she will refer to as Techniques until corrected. Also, technology in general—specifically robotics. She's a bit fond of BSL Sector 4 for some reason, too.
Plots: She's going to start hanging out with Nitori fairly soon and I'll be bouncing ideas off of Sam as far as that goes when I get them. Other than that I'm generally open to whatever.
Will Not Work With: I'm not going to be picky otherwise, but please refer to this permissions post (http://mirys.livejournal.com/1948.html) (and maybe comment on it too).

I want to see her with Cain as a sort of assistant or the like. It would be interesting to see how he can press which buttons for what.

Since Cain's already on her good side (for now? she's still pretty undecided about basically everyone she's met, but so far he's left a good impression) I can't see her disagreeing with helping him out right now should he ask. If she does start acting as a (part-time, most likely) assistant, it's worth mentioning that I intend to eventually get her involved with Engineering—hanging with Nitori will probably help with that—and once that comes around she'll be trying to divide her time between them.

Sounds solid to me. Some time in the near future I will drop some threads your way.

THE BEST IDEA.

See, over here (http://community.livejournal.com/entanglement_rp/34113.html?thread=1349441#t1349441), Nitori mentioned weapons as part of her answer to what kind of mechanical thingies she was talking about.

So let's look at a possible scenario here: Cain has poisons he probably would like to see tested on things, and Nitori would want to know if the stuff she's coming up with would work. If Nitori were to come up with weapons that used those poisons, Mirys can help them both by doing field tests (either on a nearby planet or in the BSL labs) and tell them how well the weapons themselves handled and how effective the poison used was. Anything that's found to work could help the more-normal people with holding their own if they were on a dangerous mission of some kind.

I've already pitched the idea to Sam on AIM and she likes it, so your thoughts on this?

Description: Uplifted dolphin with delusions of competence. Has opposable thumb fever. That is to say, WHERE THE HUMAN WOMEN AT?
Status: Doin' OK. Making some broskies.
Seeking: Someone to beat some respect for women into him. Someone to go cruising around with in a little vehicle blasting hip hop. People to swim with. Someone to question what the hell he'd actually do with a human girl if he got with one. Someone small for him to help teach how to swim or be in space to show he's not a total dick.

Plots: I'd like to explore the similarities between the [spoilers] and the progenitors in his own universe. Also i'd like him to grow to love his own cetacceanness some more instead of trying so desperately to suck up to/sleep with humans all the time. Perhaps he could spend some time in the Whale Dream...
Will Not Work With: it's all good

Mirys is around the size of a 16-year-old human, is fairly lightweight, and spends a considerable amount of time in Sector 4 anyway. While she already knows the basics of swimming, she isn't particularly good at it; her movements in water are still sort of jerky and slow. He should take notice the next time she decides to hang out and offer to help her with it?

Sah'ot just...doesn't know about Mirys. He's starting to think she's not human so he's less likely to skeeve on her. But he still might drool at her in a bathing suit. He'll keep it in check though and help her.

Name: Shen Sajit (Shen is his clan name)
Description: Moody musician and personal servant to Elloran, surrogate dad to Hiccup
Status: Brooding now that Elloran's being replaced by Karakael, worrying over Hiccup
Seeking: People interested in music, people with some class, someone to give him some sexual healin' and make him realize his feelings for Elloran, little ones to tutor
Pings: music, decadence, intrigue, people displaying strong emotion
Plots: as said about Elloran, and i'd like him to learn to be useful in other ways.

Name: Akakias of the Sacred Band
Description: Formerly brainwashed Orwellian priestess/special forces/secret police/idol from a postapocalyptic steampunk Ancient Greek Otaku city-state
Status: Doing this kindof first year of college thing: putting every type of substance into her body and sleeping with lots of strangers
Seeking: People who know about brainwashing and ethics to teach her stuff. Friends! Enemies too.
Pings: Fun things. Decadence. Violence. Opportunities to talk about how superior Greek civilization is.
Plots: I'd like her to maybe go through a stage where she ends up worshipping another god or joining a cult or something until she finally gets the point of free will. I also think it'd be funny if someone got freaked out by her transsexuality. Considering having some of her former comrades try to hunt her down in a future plot too.
Will Not Work With: No preference but if you objectify or badtouch her expect either creepy brainwashed eagerness, breaking down in flashbacks, or murderous berserker rage.

I'd love to do something between these two again. They are just so cute together and I like that they can bond over how screwed up both their lives are.

Name: Victoria Carter
Description: Mentally ill doll-girl and a gigantic attention whore.
Status: She has been getting herself out a bit more lately, fawning over the attention Cain gave her, and slept with Akakais on one occasion. Also recently realized she was bisexual.
Seeking: I'd like for Victoria to slowly work her way through some of her issues and tone down her exhibitionist side. Oh, and as always there is also her constant quest to find an owner. She is also a decent seamstress, though I do not know how that would fit into a plot.
Pings: Dolls, attention, and Gothic/Victorian dresses are her big triggers.
Plots: Aside from her thing with Cain, I don't have anything ongoing for her. I'm really open for anything, though.
Will Not Work With: None really, I'd like to get away from her doing graphic sexual stuff though.

Bang, here comes Cain. This should be an interesting plot, and I know you know what I am talking about.

Name: (Reverend Mother) Sheeana Brugh
Description: Wild desert girl whose negative personality traits are held in check by Bene Gesserit discipline. Loves art, sex, trance states and any other altered kind of consciousness. Serves a thousands of year long Xanatos Gambit that aims to create a human society that is free and dynamic.
Status: Busy. Producing the propaganda show, training with/dating Luke, keeping tabs on the various potential demagogues and social climbers among the crew, providing Spice for the navigator, teaching her own students, teaching social studies for Wolfwood's school
Seeking: Enemies. Especially those she can match wits with. People to discuss philosophy with. People with interesting DNA. More students. People to help her realize she and Luke aren't meant for each other.
Pings: Philosophy, questions of long term direction, art, sex, altered states of consciousness, wild places
Plots: Short term: Work herself to point of fainting, realize that she can't really make Luke happy and relatedly realize that she can't just toy with people's emotions however she likes, Force training results in her babel fish teleporting out of her ear necessitating hospitalization. Long term: Find out what the next step of the Golden Path is, create a reformed Bene Gesserit organization or something similar to it, find out why worm!Leto ate her village.
Will Not Work With: Nothing comes to mind, but realize if she finds you or your ideas simple minded she'll be rather condescending. Conversely if she thinks you're a potential focus of religious adoration, she'll see you as a potentially dangerous quantity. And if she thinks you're a Kwisatz Haderach she'll probably try to kill you.

Name: Roxie Schreiber
Description: Weird teen girl with delusions of grandeur. Accustomed to killing monsters to death. Smart, but not as smart as she thinks she is.
Status: Building herself a little lair/shrine/shop thing out of an abandoned spaceship. Trying to form connections with people on the station.
Seeking: People to get Roxie more out of her shell. Actual combat training. Her crafting skills being used to the benefit of the character.
Pings: Things to do with magic or religion. Monster hunting. Anybody trying to force her into whatever.
Plots: Nothing in particular. At least for the time being, she tends to be more responsive than proactive about stuff.
Will Not Work With: nothing in particular!

Name: Ai Tanabe
Description: Idealist astronaut in a world where it's just another dangerous job.
Status: Working her tail off in Engineering, learning the Junk-Station systems and doing EVA work to make the station just look like a death-trap for anything that gets close. Still upset about the Christmas mission and trying to raise support for Doing Something about it.
Seeking: • Friends to hang out while off-duty.
• People for her to mentor, and to mentor her.
• Also, so far Ai has not developed any dislike for people. Somehow she's avoided all the jerks.
Pings: Space exploration and astronautics, discussions on love and friendship, people who need cheering up or talking down.
Plots: Ai is definitely going to raise the whole 'what do we stand for, besides not the Fay'lia' at the next meeting. It's bothering her, and she's the type who gets angry and does something. Failing that, if anything space-based happens, I'd like her to be involved.
Will Not Work With: I don't mind a couple rounds of Break the Cutie, but not infinitely many. Also, Ai is from the end of her canon, so is happily married, albeit to a man spending seven years heading to Jupiter and back. So anything romantic gets limited to her ignoring or shutting down flirting.

I do intend to get Mirys involved over there eventually, so she and Ai are likely to meet at some point. Whether they'd get along or not is up in the air.

I'm pretty sure she might fall under both of these too; she needs to eventually be convinced that the multiverse doesn't just explicitly hate her, and for someone to put her in her place if she starts turning into a real jerk.

Awesome. Plus, aside from Sah'ot*, Ai hasn't really let it sink in that folks are from really different places than her home.

* Which... well, genetically-engineered dolphin from The Future is weird, but a different kind of weird than magic and such.

I've been wanting to get Sheeana into a real knock down drag out idealogical debate with someone and she's definitely in favor of using almost any tactic on the Fay'lia, no matter the moral questionability. I'm sure there are people on the station who agree with Ai too (Wolfwood, hippies).

Sounds like fun. (For me, not for Ai.) And it would have to come to a head sooner or later, and it's easier for Ai to argue with Sheeana than the local resistance -- both from a 'planning' POV and because emotion matters to her.

I could see it turning into a three way clusterfuck between those who favor militarizing the station's structure (like Talbot), those who favor a cloak and dagger approach (Sheeana and the rest of the BG) and the pacifists (Ai and her supporters), with all of them being egged on by the Fay'lia double agents.

I love a good shitstorm.

It would be nice for Lain and Ai to do something together. Ai is the first person Lain really connected with on the station, so Lain definitely trusts her already.

Description: Aristocrat from quasifeudal society; also has experience as prisoner, scavenger, resistance leader, and military officer of various ranks. Likes: long walks on the beach; romantic evenings; killing people for their boots. No, wait, the first two were lies (is from a landlocked nation and has never had a romantic evening). OK, and that last one was a lie too, since it's kind of stressful to fence the boots afterward.
Status: Miel's fortune cookie (http://www.wisdomportal.com/JS/RandomFortunes.html) says "You are just beginning to live" (and his Lotto QuickPicks are 14, 44, 34, 13, 36, plus MegaNumber 24). Um ... he's new and hasn't gotten into anything very deeply yet, but is learning the ropes.
Seeking: People who're intelligent and practical. People who need protecting or defending. People who want to learn archery or fancy handwriting?
Pings: Tension between idealism and pragmatism; abrupt changes in fortune; family/duty and all concepts relating thereto; noblesse oblige.
Plots: Pretty much anything could be amusing. I just like playing the character and have no set agenda for him at this time. I'd like to see him do his chill diplomat thing, but he can also do his rugged survivalist thing.
Will Not Work With: Mun refuses to do anything that involves animal torture, but hunting is okay as long as I don't need to write detailed descriptions of gutting animals. Character refuses to be slashed: though mun has no special grudge or animosity toward slash, Miel is pretty much a zero on the Kinsey scale.

At the tech level they're at I don't think they can build a lot of gauss rifles. So zero-g crossbows might be their best bet for weapons in space.

Crossbows are wicked. This can be arranged.

Name: Minako Aino/ Sailor Venus
Description: normal blonde teenage girl who may not be the brightest but really is the leader of the inner guardians, Sailor Venus, a capable leader and warrior.
Status: Wandering around the station, following the cute guys who are on board ~~why are my characters such stalkers?~~ and bemoaning the lack of good food. But she's also investigating what is going on in the background and trying to learn about the enemy so while she seems like she's goofing off all the time, she's not.
Seeking: chances to prove herself and fighting the Fay'lia so she can go home to her friends.
Pings: boys, food, video games, making friends, trying to fix things and help people the best she can as a normal teenage girl. For Venus, righting wrongs and triumphing over evil and kick bad guy butt!
Plots: ~~CAT PLANET~~ Nothing really so far but a chance to be a leader as Venus would be awesome. She may not always succeed but her heart is in the right place.
Will Not Work With: Just no killing her, she's died like I dunno at least 3 times in her life already. Otherwise I'm open to pretty much anything.

Name: Riff Raffit
Description: Loyal butler, peaceful, calm, and kind. Also a sadistic power-hungry, self-centered bastard who would like nothing more then to cause suffering and further his own career. Depends on which side of the bed he got up on.
Status: Currently suffering from magic mayhem in his system that is slowly killing the kindly 'Riff' and releasing the antagonistic 'Riffael'.
Seeking: Either someone to help him supress the dominant personality or someone to plot evil schemes with.
Pings: Riff: people in troubble, injured, etc. or Cain. Riffael: power, money, pleasure, and also anything that makes Cain suffer.
Plots: Well, Riff will die and Riffael will be released. Then he's probably going to torture Cain at least mentally, but after that anything's possible.
Will Not Work With: Anything'll do.

Oh hey that is me. On both accounts. I think the idea with Riff and Fran to try to awaken Riffael at least temporarily would be MIND CRUSH status for Cain, and I know some people would enjoy seeing him break.

Well if you'd like Cain to suffer from a mind crush, you won't have to wait too long. Based on the canon review I did, Riff's condition is deteriorating very quickly. Soon bastard!Riff will be walking the station halls.

Name: Jack Harkness
Description: A 51st century guy who got screwed over by the space time vortex so now he's immortal and has to watch everyone he loves die.
Status: Currently drowning in his guilt and sitting around waiting for the next mission.
Seeking: Someone willing to spend some time with this guy and make him a little less stuck in his dark cloud. No matter what he says he gets very lonely in his self-imposed isolation.
Pings: Attractive people of any gender, coffee, drinking, missions, anything that'll distract his mind.
Plots: Nothing really, just want him to slowly make new friends and realize that he doesn't need to forget those he's lost to lessen the pain.
Will Not Work With: Jack gets along with everyone, except, possibly close minded people, he doesn't understand them.

Jack would probably sleep with her. ^-^; He's kind of in that state right now of 'as long as there are no strings'.

And yes, I think a wise-cracking dolphin would definitely improve Jack's life.

Name: Horo
Description: A wolf-girl-thing? She was told one day that she was the goddess of the harvest, so she went with it for some centuries. Now, she's on the station and is still not a hundred per-cent sure that the Church won't find her and cut her up for being a wolf.
Status: Sort of blank right now. She's still creeping on the rumour scene, and has kind of taken a liking to how tsun-tsun Vader is, but she's open schedule right now.
Seeking: A toy to play with, and equal to struggle with, or for Lawrence to step up and be a master.
Pings: Apples or any other fruit really, economics, animal cruelty, Lawrence, occasionally sex.
Plots: I want there to be an instance where she has to go giant wolf to save someone. Or something pisses her off just enough to make her do it. I think the former works best. Then afterwards she can be like "Now you know. Say anything and I'll fucking eat you alive."
Will Not Work With: Man I dunno about Horo in this category. I mean dying, or cyberisation, or something character-threatening, but otherwise, go for it.
