OK, so here are a couple things I need to know, if we're going forward with this. (If it gets too difficult, there's always the old standby of Shirou waking up in a pod ;) )

- The personal effects needed. Now, of course, Anders has no IC reason to possess these things. If Saber shows up, they'll be present, and perhaps could get drawn into the summoning or have magic ricochet off them or something, I will need to think about the mechanics of it, but: to merge Dragon Age mechanics (that are in turn drawn from lore rather than anything we see in the game; we never see a Harrowing, which is the ritual that purposely summons a demon) with Fate/Stay Night mechanics, I need to get a better idea of the latter. How does a summoning work, vis a vis these personal effects? (Example: Is this sort of like the old "use someone's fingernails and hair clippings in a voodoo doll" thing, using an item to associate the target with the magic? There's a similar concept in Dragon Age, in which blood samples are taken from each mage to create an artifact the Templars can use to track them.) Anything that involves blood magic, Anders won't do, hence an athame shouldn't come into play. There isn't anything much Wiccan or goddess-worship focused about Dragon Age.

- How this servant thing works. If Saber is present at the time Shirou materializes, is it possible for Shirou simply to gravitate toward her, thus obviating the need for Anders to be assumed as master?

- Is this too much trouble? Would there be a way Saber could summon Shirou on her own?
