Holidays are supposed to make people happy, right? Well, holidays for you sucked. You didn't get to see your family or maybe you have no family at all. If you're a villain, maybe another year has gone by and you still haven't taken over the world. If you're a hero, maybe you're a B-lister who still doesn't have his own action figure. Last night you felt incredibly lonely and pathetic and sad, so you hit the bar. Hard.

Well honey, the bar hit back. You wake up in a cheap motel bed and you're not alone.

Victoria gently kissed Cain on the lips before speaking. Her movements were jerky and her attempts at romance roughly the same, but there was real emotion hidden beneath all of the porcelain and ball-joints.

His reply was a kiss, and a wistful sigh. Somehow he'd explain this to Mary Weather. Somehow she'd be all right with it. Somehow.

Victoria barley picked up on Cain's sigh, but was worried none the less. This was supposed to be a happy time and she would have no concern, big or small, ruin the mood.

"Is anything wrong, love?" She said running her hand through Cain's hair.

"I only thought of this morning ending, and having to return to the trudgery of work on the station," he said, smoothly, without even a hint of hesitation. "Promise me we can do this again, dearest, and it shall erase from my mind."

Victoria cuddles against Cain before speaking, she knows their little encounter will have to end soon and thus is trying to make the most of the moment.
