So big reveal: Since his player dropped, we're comfortable revealing that Zevran killed Svinboera on Geldeheim (he was also offered a contract on Hauptmann but refused it). He takes occasional jobs from the Fay'lia, though he's not an agent per se. As he was important to the plot in that way, he'll be a mod controlled NPC until the DA cast and anyone else he had CR tells us to send him away.

... Okay. Zevran is fallible (otherwise Dragon Age: Origins wouldn't have happened, because he'd have succeeded in killing the Warden).

Given this new information, would you mind sharing with us how it was decided that Svinboera would die and the other players' efforts would be invalid?

We rolled for it, with what we hoped was a reasonable to-hit number for his odds of killing her.

In retrospect, that was a bad idea and won't be done again. I take full responsibility for it and i'm sorry if it messed things up for you with Anders.
