Opening his eyes painfully, even the dim light provided by the fluorescent bulb across the room was too bright. His fingers were entwined in gossamer black hair. Not his own.
After a moment of focus, and remembering just who it was that was locked to his body, glistening with sweat and other fluids that could only have been his, for the most part, he half-smiled, half grimaced from the headache.
